ART NIGHT GALLERY PRESENTS
Circle Collection
For this release thirteen artists from our Art Night Gallery group have created original artwork in the shape of a circle. Circles were a clear choice for our group’s collaborative art release as they embody the balance and support our all-female artist group have given to each other during this last year around the sun. These works celebrate the new year, new beginnings, and the bond we continue to build into 2021.
Each original artwork is a maximum of 12 inches in diameter and priced at $300 or under to continue the theme of inclusiveness through providing affordable art. The mediums and concepts of each work are as diversely beautiful as each member of our group.
The circle is a symbol of harmony and unity, a completely efficient shape that covers the maximum area for a given perimeter, a spiritual symbol for the divine life force that keeps our world in motion, a sign of wholeness and completion. The circle both represents the whole self, the product of individuation, according to Jungian psychology. It also has strong historical connections to sewing circles which were an opportunity for groups of women to gather to create while discussing issues of the time.
